Feasibility of single MCU Crazyflie

Dear Bitcraze team,

I'd like to evaluate the possibilities to create a Crazyflie with a single MCU that manages "everything", both flight management and wireless communication. In an earlier thread (https://forum.bitcraze.io/viewtopic.php?p=23139#p23139), I saw that you had experiments with a prototype running entirely on an nRF52 MCU. (I assume it was an nRF52840.)

May I ask what were the outcomes of those experiments?

I don't think more was done than the "playing around" mentioned in the thread. I can check with my colleagues, but I don't think they further developed this idea. I don't see any clear blockers for it either.
