Hi, I'm a smart non-coder and I'm stuck in the self-hosted Giscus instructions. I'm using MkDocs with the Material theme on GitHub Enterprise (not on github.com). I was able to create an install the Giscus app following the self-hosted instructions. On the bottom of my MkDocs pages, I see the word "Comment" followed by the error message "An error occurred: giscus is not installed on this repository." So something has gone right so far, and I'm now stuck at the next steps.
The "deploy giscus" instructions are completely baffling to me and I need some context. Am I creating a completely separate website from my existing MkDocs site with the giscus app running on it, and why? Am I cloning the github.com/giscus/giscus repository and then transplanting those files to GitHub Enterprise? Am I supposed to be running an app or website on a server somewhere? Where am I installing the dependencies, and what are they? If I start a server with "yarn start," where is the server?
I realize these are probably stone-stupid questions for people as talented as the ones who created giscus :-) , but I am honestly unclear on the concept of this part of the self-hosted install. If that could be explained more, I'm really looking forward to completing the installation.
