ReSpiritualise Initiative: Introducing the Spiritual Back into the Public Sphere

We have talked quite a bit internally about the need for a "ReSpiritualizing Society" - a reintroduction of ontology, mystery and the numinous into the public sphere e.g. https://lifeitself.us/2019/04/17/blind-spots-2-returning-to-mystery/

And this interest is shared by many others in the "space" e.g.

• Wilber talks about how the spiritual developmental line is arrested in modernity
• RSA's initiative that was led by Jonathan Rowson
• ... and many more.

Aim: start a movement for "ReSpiritualising Society"

Ideas

Thought piece / Manifesto

Set out what is meant by spirituality and why we need it back actively in society and the public sphere. Define what "Respiritualise" would mean.

"Spiritual Pride" events / days

Just like there was "Gay Pride" we could have "Spiritual Pride" days and events where people acknowledge that they are "spiritual" and there interest and participation in spirituality.

This could also include video clips where well-known people nationally or locally state "I'm Spiritual" and explain what that means for them.
