When I'm playing with the arpegiator, I often want to switch notes, but not have to deal with the usual synth envelope - i.e. I just want to be able to switch the frequency of the current running arpegiator synth. A monophonic mode would solve this issue - i.e. if no note is being played, it would do the standard vol envelope, or if a note is currently being played and a new note is hit, then it just switches the frequency across...

Great idea! This would mean that you could do slow volume swells while the arpeggiator was changing just the note in the background, right? Kind of like the sync/free setting on the LFO.
