Kia ora! It would be a huge privilege to kick off a PWL chapter down here in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (the Te Reo name for Auckland, New Zealand). Annie and myself have talked about it on and off for a couple of years, and now with things returning to normal, we reckon it's the right time.
We both have extensive experience in software leadership, and I organised a ~500 person annual software engineering conference for 9 years before Covid torpedoed it; so hopefully we have the experience to make our first kiwi chapter a success.
I've read the code of conduct and will absolutely ensure it's enforced in both spirit and specifics.

Once you accept the invitation as collaborators, please update the Readme and Code of Conduct with your chapter's information. I have been making new chapter organizers admins on their repos, to allow simple team management.
With abuse and harassment persistently in the (North American) news, your acceptance for our Code of Conduct is appreciated -- let us know if it can be improved (or made more culturally aware).
