Enhance viewing of search results by chosing which fields to display

It would be good to be able to choose which fields are displayed in the column view which shows search results. It would often be useful to see which items are digitised and which not for example. Perhaps there could be a few fixed fields - ID, title, country but then a drop down menu to display other fields like digitised yes/no and to remove currently viewed fields from display.
