Input delay while logging in

I'm experiencing a pretty nasty input delay when logging in. It's big enough that the login fails, if I type at a normal speed and hit enter, because not all key presses are registered in time (expect Enter strangely enough). I have to wait a second after typing the first couple characters of my password for the input to be registered, before tying the rest and hitting Enter. I've had input issue across the COSMIC Desktop a couple months ago (delays, unregistered key presses, double input), but that was fixed eventually and now only the greeter is affected by this.

Setup: Thinkpad E485 running Pop! OS Cosmic Alpha 4. External monitor connected vie HDMI. RK84 wireless keyboard connected via USB-receiver.
