It should be possible to register the app anew

There doesn't seem to be a way to change the key of a windows installation of the desktop app. There should be a way to either reset the app or to restart the registration process.

There is, once the app is fully set up, you can go to settings and there is a reset button. I guess that's to late if you never get to complete the setup fully? ;)

I was logged in with a code that had only access to events that were either not yet active or already done, i.e. I was on the event selection list but could not select an event.

We eventually found out that nuking the registry keys for PretixScan also does what we needed, but well :-)
