How do I get the barcode scanner working in phonegap 1.7.0?

I tried to get the barcode scanning plugin working using the example included but the version of phonegap is out of date. I have tried running it on 1.7.0 but it seems the plugin itself doesn't exist. What do you need to do to get it working with 1.7.0?

when running the phone-gap test, using cordova-1.7.0.js, I get errors for each barcode.

"code_128-1.jpg : exception scanning: TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object"

the images are loading into the test app fine

any ideas?

is anyone able to get this to work, as the example in the plugin directory is for 1.5.0 which also does not work
