I'm excited to see how your package is going to take shape! To make the package user friendly it's important to identify what parts of your script will be functions and the functions interact with each others. The technical aspects of putting the package together are not very complicated. You will also need to convert the perl scripts into R, and see how you can automate the manual steps.
For this week, try to come up with a flowchart that illustrate how the different components of your scripts interact with each other. We will work together to see try to see how things can get organized to start the development of the package.
Comment on this thread if you have any questions.
