make-demo-unique: add some flexibility to namespace.yml

This does some things that I might want to skip (E.g. the scm url parsing). Can we skip these things if the variable is not defined?

@sherl0cks I really don't see this repo as the "source" for other repos to consume, and I think we need to consider a different home for roles to be consumed. I am also not 100% happy with how these roles panned out, so let's have a discussion around 1) a home for these roles, 2) features and functionality

• maybe even a product BZ to support such functionality.

OK - I've forked and have been fixing there. Was gonna submit a PR. In general, this works pretty well for my use case.
