TypeScript plugin is not compatible with Terser plugin inline sourcemaps

With this config:

...
plugins:
[
    typescript({tsconfig: 'tsconfig.example.json'}),
    terser({sourceMap: {content: 'inline', includeSources: true, url: 'inline'}})
]
...

Terser plugin complains with this message:

inline source map not found

Because ...

So Rollup can work with separate source map files, but can the Terser plugin? 🤔 From my research, I don't think it can.
