Demo not working on esp32-2432S028R

Hello,
i tried the demo app (https://github.com/rzeldent/esp32-smartdisplay-demo) on esp32-2432S028R and i got this error and the program show blank screen:

Some indications to solve the problem?

Use the develop version. Just tested and works on my esp32-2432S028R
You have to enable the board for your version. So enable (remove #) before the esp32-2432S028R

Hello,
I tested with the new version, still the same problem with an ESP32-2432S028 card with envs ESP32-2432S08R and also v2. RGB LED ok, sound ok, touch ok (logs) but screen white. The card works with a test program (TFT_Rainbow) with TFT-espi (except touch and RGB inversion - BGR).
Also tested with ESP32-1732S09N and ESP32-4827S043 cards, everything is ok.

Some indications to solve the problem?

I checked this before and was working on my esp32-2432S028.

If you have a serial connection and you do a reset do you see any warning/error messages?
Does this fix to set the size helps?

No error messages at all. Only minor thing I noticed is the %d instead of a %f for the set backlight.
And the esp32-2432S028Rv2? Identical?

I checked the logging: identical to mine. I added an extra log line to log if a default initialization is present. This is available in the develop version of the demo and smartdisplay library. See output below.
I'd like to be sure this special initialization is present when you use the esp32-2432S028Rv2

Hi,

Just got my new CYD board esp32-2432S028R with USB-C. This is a different board that I had and developed the software for. Was on sale on AliExpress.
Can confirm that the display remains white and no "demo". Both esp32-2432S028R and esp32-2432S028Rv2. Looks like a new variant... Will investigate this later.

Regarding the esp32-4848S040CIY3. Retested with my board (esp32-4848S040CIY1) and is working perfectly.

Do you know whether 4848S040CIY1 and 4848S040CIY3 use the same pins connected to the display? Unfortunately, I can't find the PCB schematic for these boards...

Yes they are. Difference is the # relays, 1 or 3.
I informed for the schematic but to no avail. Has been reverse engineered from the demo.
A schema would be handy. Have no clue the pushbutton on the side is connected to.

I duplicated the json from the ESP32-2408-S8R to ESP32-2408-S8R7789 and changed all references from ILI9341 to ST7789. I also changed the following values:
ST7789_SPI_BUS_MISO_IO_NUM=GPIO_NUM_NC
ST7789_SPI_CONFIG_SPI_MODE=SPI_MODE3
LCD_MIRROR_X=false
(I checked, we can't read the registers so no MISO)
and now everything works correctly.

Thanks for your post. I think this was exactly what a lot of other users (and I) were waiting for. Now, looking at the box I also see that 7789 is on the label but did not noticed it.

I made a new definition: esp32-2432S028Rv3 that does work on this board! This board can be noticed easily as it has an USB-C and micro USB!

Yes, there are a lot of clones out there! Difficult to keep up with implementing the definitions but trying!

In portrait mode: ok
in landscape mode (lv_disp_set_rotation(disp, LV_DISP_ROT_90); ): the touch does not work correctly and it is in portrait mode.
I don't know how to use the develop branch

Iif I remember correctly, and you want to change the branch in platformio, you should open platformio.ini and add "#develop" on the end
