delete develop branch or start using it again

in many other projects I use develop rather than master, and we used to use it in rag, but I've updated the CONTRIBUTING.md to say master, and maybe we stick with that for the time being ... so should probably delete develop branch ...

although in principle we could move to have a develop branch that gets deployed to a develop server, but that doesn't seem critical at the moment

hmm, although actually - you just merged that OOB stuff into master, which could interfere with fixing and deploying solutions to the HW4 freeze. Ideally that should have been merged into a develop branch for further testing on a develop server, while we keep master clean to fix this critical issue - I'll try and write up the workflow in more detail once we've addressed the HW4 freeze ...
