Hello, I recently purchased a prebuilt copy of the cart reader off of AliExpress (and managed to break a piece off of it) and a copy of A Link to the Past (Zelda no Densetsu - Kamigami no Triforce) off of Ebay, with footage of it working. I also took the cartridge to a local vintage shop to verify that it works on an actual SNES/SFC.
The header matches what is expected for a proper 1.0 cartridge, but the actual dump appears to give a checksum of 2424 and a CRC of D8274D98
I took a look at the dumped file, and while I don't know what it's supposed to look like, I do find it odd that it has a value of FF for all addresses past 0x80000
No emulator is able to run the file, which I find odd considering the cartridge works on console.
It seems that the GB slot of my device doesn't work, and after a test it appears there's a short in the NES slot. But The SNES and N64 slots appear to work, I was able to dump fully working copies of Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 with little issue.
Would this issue be with the cartridge or is it an issue with the sanni I bought? I don't have any soldering tools so I wouldn't be able to fix it myself, I don't think.
As for the piece I broke off, it was the N64 adapter port, which was loose next to the SNES slot and volt switch. I point this out because most photos I see of HW5 places it immediately next to the screen.
