This plugin offers developers a simple block of code for hello-worlding the JSON REST API, and a shortcode to watch it in action: [wp_api].

1. Upload `json-rest-api-shortcode` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
