Currently the image is scaled by a single scaling factor that optimizes in order to use the full dynamic range only in one direction (and keeping the aspect ratio of the image). Since we can use analog controls on the scope to adjust the image, it is possible to use them to correct the aspect ratio and use the full dynamic range in both axes (but this also means that aspect ratio needs to be corrected).
