If MirMachine fails ( there were two missing dependencies: pytz; six) and I then install those
$ conda install pytz six
Can I simply restart with the original command?
This seems to be the current behaviour.

Yes in most cases, it should continue where it fails.
The latest version should install all the correct dependencies if you use the Conda repo though.
