SkoHub workshop materials

1 Introduction and overview

To become familiar with SkoHub and what it can be used to, it is a good start to become familiar with the different published resources.

Project page & GitHub organization

The project page at skohub.io provides a short introduction and contains links to other resources (blog, repositories).

All SkoHub git repositories are available via the GitHub Organisation at https://github.com/skohub-io

2 Installation

❗❗❗ Note: It is not required to install SkoHub locally or on a server – neither for the workshop nor to use the modules. You can continue with 3 Using SkoHub Docker version if you just want to try it out using GitHub Pages. ❗❗❗

6 SkoHub in the wild

This section gives you an impression how SkoHub can help realizing different tasks. In two videos it is shown how SkoHub modules are currently used at Wir lernen online (="We learn online", a project to enable discovery of learning materials and tools for teachers, parents and students) and in the context KIM (=Competence Centre for Interoperable Metadata.

Using SkoHub to develop metadata recommendations within KIM

The "OER Metadata" group (OER = Open Educational resources) within the Competence Centre for Interoperable Metadata (KIM) uses SkoHub Vocabs and SkoHub Editor to develop recommendations for a metadata profile and controlled vocabularies to be used when publishing OER in the German-speaking world. The following talk gives some insight into the processes:
