I do get events in SDL but can't seem to get them through to uae?

there are reports of users having gamepads working.

My single button Amiga Joystick (with Retrolink Adapter) is detected as button index 0, and is not functionnal in UAE4ALL. Does nothing. It seems that working button for "Fire" on a PC standard gamepad is button index 2.
