It would be nice to have some server monitoring.

What is some sort of?

  • Availability
  • Request
  • User Behaviour
  • Security

Specify the requirements more precisely, please.
Greetings Matt

IMO, it makes sense to:

  • Monitor server system data (e.g. free disk space)
  • Monitor application availability
  • Monitor errors from the Django application

I'm not sure what the best solutions are for these requirements.
Preferably, the monitoring should run on another host.

Maybe something like this? I'm not sure if it's possible to monitor Django errors though.

http://opbeat.com/ used to do great django app monitoring. it's now integrated into elastic APM. might also be worth a look.
