This looks great. Have you seen dename? It looks like dename has an elegant solution to the initial key exchange that could be much more meaningful when put in the context of a decentralized PKI.

There is also https://github.com/okTurtles/dnschain, a decentralized DNS/HTTP hybrid server for key/value mappings. It supports Namecoin, KeyID, and soon Ethereum and NXT (pending PRs). It will provide one RESTful API for all blockchains.
