1.4 release or latest from master

Hi Everyone,

I really like this stack and would like to know which one is the recommended version?

Currently I'm using the 1.4 release, but I inspected that the master has some major changes.

Is the master stable enough to use?
If not do you know when will be the next stable release?

I think the master branch is the way to go. I should create a new release soon.
