Big sur void menus #90
Comments
Hello, have the same on iMac 21 /2019! just updated to Big Sur and now no more comments from BG to see. Is there a chance of an update of Bluegriffon? - 3.1 is from 2019! - No response came from Daniel Glazman, disruptive-innovations tel-number not working, on [email protected] only helpless questions! Will this project die off? |
Bit late but I was in the same situation and found this software which did the trick, hope it fits your needs! Already tested it on Big Sur, no issues https://www.ambiera.com/rocketcake/ |
This issue was discussed in Google Group Mac os big sur et Bluegriffon. I could not post Google Group (not accepting post), so I post here. I investigated this problem. SeaMonkey and Thunderbird have same problem. But they are fixed.
1677316 discussed this issue. It seems to be fixed in SeaMonkey 2.53.5.1. I think BlueGriffon may be fixed same procedure too. And I think this problem due to gecko problem. So it may be fixed to upgrade BlueGriffon's reference gecko version. This fork (trickypr/bluegriffon: BlueGriffon, the Web editor) includes latest gecko. If we build it, this issue may be fixed. But I could not build BlueGriffon M1 Mac (macOS Big Sur v11.6.7). And I posted how to build BlueGriffon on M1 macOS BigSur (https://senooken.jp/post/2022/06/24/) in Japanese. I can build it on success, but |
Hi all - I am struggling with the same issue (blank menus) on Bluegriffon, but I have no idea about building versions. If someone out there with the expertise is able to do it, that would be really great. |
As a work-around, I switched to SeaMonkey which run fine in Big Sur and now in Monterey on my M1 machine (fall 2021). I think I preferred Blue Griffin but SeaMonkey is useable. |
I also tried SeaMonkey. But I was not satisfied. |
Thank you both for your answers, I will look at both options. It's a shame, as BG was really working well before. |
I just experienced the same problem and to my surprise this thread is from June 2022 and it seems that up to this point, April 2023, there has not been a fix to the problem. If I had paid for the license of this software, I would be very pissed off with this situation. At least this happened before I bought the license, which I definitely will not buy anymore as it seems the software is completely abandoned. |
Hi. on my 2019 MacBook Pro macOS 11.1 (20C69) Versione kernel: Darwin 20.2.0 most menus and pop up windows are completely white. Not only the texts but even buttons!
I've read something about arial, san serif and screen soothing but I've issue on buttons.
the strange" thing is if I try to click on (where I suppose there are) button seems is working fine... maybe a graphic issue?
Same thing on options on the scrolling menu of style.
