MacroSilicon MS2109 capture devices

The MacroSilicon MS2109 is an inexpensive HDMI to USB converter chip that appeared on the market in early 2020. It's the chip inside most HDMI capture dongles.

TinyPilot's settings are configured by default for compatibility with the MacroSilicon MS2109-based devices, so they should work out of the box.

Toshiba TC358743 capture devices

The Toshiba TC358743 is a chip that connects to the Pi's CSI bridge. It's more expensive than the MS2109, but gives the user more flexibility.

TinyPilot has been tested to work with TC358743-based chips, but it requires manual tweaks to the installation options.
