Looks like the weather data sources need updating:

Meteoblue: Your blog says:

You can register for a free API key here. The Weather Desklet needs the Free JSON API (json_7day_3h_firstday).

Nothing about API keys on this page, nor this plan. Under "Non-commercial use" they only offer their html browser desk widget.

Open Weather Map Free: Often displays "Very Heavy Rain" when it's not raining. Their website is accurate however. (Internal phrase mapping issue, perhaps?)

Wunderground: Got acquired a few years ago by TWC (The Weather Company), and no longer offers API keys.

APIXU: Sigend up and Key acquired fine, Looks like it should work but it doesn't. Their test API pages work fine with the free API key, and show accurate and valid JSON results, with a variety of locations. auto:ip is now fetch:ip. Their usage page does not show that my key is being used by your weather desklet, only by their test pages. Wrong internal URL, perhaps?

Forecast.io - DarkSky has been acquired by Apple, and no longer allows signups.

And FWIW, the original AccuWeather desktlet, that you link to, still works great. :-)
