I have recently posted a diffunitsyntax plugin which highlights word or character based diff units in diff format.
I tried to check the plugin if it works on vim-fugitive. For example, in a summary window, when = is pressed then shows the changed/added diff units on an inline diff. And dp invokes git diff and it looks fine as well.
Could I ask you to check the plugin? Let me know some other functions I missed to check.
As a side note, my another plugin, diffchar.vim, works fine on vimdiff invoked by :Gdiffsplit.
