Frigate and authentication

Hi,
I installed frigate via the LXC script and were able to get it to work. Since my reverse proxy does not enable authentication, I would like to use the authentication from frigate. According to the frigate website the port 8971 should be used for access with authentication. But this does not work with my setup. Only the port 5000.
Any idea ?
