Troubleshooting Steps

This screenshot was taken after switching specs and tapping Q to cast Dream Breath, showing that it is continuing past empowered level 1:

WoWScrnShot_072324_230913

Reproducing the issue.

  1. Log in on evoker
  2. Reset cvars (/console cvar_default) (optional)
  3. Ensure that Empowered spells are set to "hold and release" by casting e.g. Fire Breath
  4. Change specs (e.g. from Devastation to Preservation)
  5. Cast an empowered spell (e.g. Dream Breath)

Describe the expected behavior and what actually happened?

Expected behavior

When I switch evoker specs, I expect my Empowered spells to continue to be "hold and release."

Actual behavior

When I switch specs, I have to either /reload or drag the empowered spell off and back onto my bars for them to behave properly.

The pathology, but not the trigger, seems very very similar to a bug that is marked fixed:

This reproduces for me 100% of the time. In the past I have learned to /reload after changing specs, but the workaround from #811 (drag the spell off and drop it back) might be my new go-to.
