Table plugin: the table cell border is removed from the wrong cell

Description

After merging cells in a table, attempting to modify the top border on adjacent cells (either by adding or removing the border) results in the border being applied to the wrong cell.

1. Create a table.
2. Select cells to merge.
3. Merge the cells.
4. Select the adjacent cell.
5. Access the border controls, and try to remove the top border.
6. Observe the issue: the top border is removed from the wrong cell.
