Description

Currently, there's a mixture of different approaches to read/write/handle any XML-related data with different libraries.
Since this is just grown by accident and there's no good reason to keep this zoo, one shall unify this mess to have a single entry point for any XML-related stuff.

At first there's need to review all use cases.

If this means to strip the current underlying METS-Library, than it be so.
