New uploaded media items at the top of the grid / list in RTE media picker

When choosing already uploaded images they are always displayed at the end of the grid or at the end of the list. This means you have to scroll all the way to the end of the list to be able to select your image. Is it possible to display the last updated media items at the beginning of the list? We know you can change the list view to list and then sort on "Last updated", but then you have to keep doing that every time you want to add a media item to the content. So this is not what you want.

A few years ago there was also an issue with this, but no attention was paid to it (https://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-8404). We have noticed that this is becoming more and more of an issue for our customers, especially if you have a lot of images in the media folder.

I think this is a feature a lot of editors can help with creating content and using media items.
