Vector to delete log files only

HI I am trying to use vector client to just delete files after two days and the files wont be deleted at all. Could someone help and see if this config is good or any changes need to be added/updated. I am using windows server and vector is setup to run as a service. The log files are picked up but they wont be deleted. I know this is a use case where vector is not what you guys wanted but trying to see if this is possible without shipping the logs anywhere

Config looks good. Reading https://vector.dev/docs/reference/configuration/sources/file/#remove_after_secs, wondering if you've checked:

• make sure the process/vector user has permissions to delete file
• If the files get appended to, they won't get deleted -- any of that happening? (esp since read_from="end" is specified)
• try with 1 file first, see it get deleted? Maybe easier to reason about, then expand to D:\logs**.log glob
