Proposed changes

  • Implement a new system that gives stargates an address based on their world position.

Explanation

There's already the group & galaxy system in the addon, however, those only modify how addresses work and how wormholes are established. I propose to add a new system which disallows the user to edit the address of their Stargate and instead it is set based on the Stargate's world position.

This would be similar to how it works in the show, as it would only allow one stargate per n units. It would also allow for better superseding/overriding and address confliction of Stargates.

This could add new features such as:

  1. SG-1 stargates with a DHD would supersede SG-1 stargates with dialing computers.
  2. Atlantis stargates would supersede SG-1 stargates (exactly like the Atlantis override function currently in CAP).
  3. If your gate is being superseded, you cannot dial out from it, nor receive any incoming wormholes.

Updated address calculator website

* Disabled the language buttons until I implement the algorithm in all languages listed.
