Unable to Get File ID

I'm not sure if you're still answering questions on this add-on or not but I've installed it, created a new upload directory, and uploaded a file using the file manager to that directory. When I go into the VWM Secure Files module and add that file and click on the ID link I get:

An Error Was Encountered
You have not been given permission to download this file.

Tried using the full path to the image but it gets stripped out every time I save and go back to the Module page.

Ya, I've been ignoring this module for a while and have not tested it with the newer versions of EE. I'll see if I can reproduce this issue.

I tried the module in EE 2.7.1 and it seems to be working as expected. How, exactly do you have the module configured? This is my setup that I used for testing:

• Files folder: C:\Users\Victor\Documents\Web\ee\271\files
• EE root directory: C:\Users\Victor\Documents\Web\ee\271
• VWM Secure Files Allowed Groups: Super Admins
