... suss was disabled on (1) asp-ibk and (2) k8s-dev (by setting the nodeSelector in the DaemonSet such that no pod gets scheduled, everything else is kept as is).
Moreover, all said k8s nodes were integrated into the katello upgrade process as it was the care prior to suss.

Question is:

  • should we drop wd-suss alltogether?
  • or how to best scope for long-running draining operations taking all night and causing nodes not do drain?
