Keep the user informed of sanity limits when enforced

Nosigntoday on the XA server pointed out that the "New scale > Equal temperament" function caps at 1024edo, even though larger edos are supported through other means (e.g. Rank-2 temperament or manually entered scale data). Is that a known issue?

This is intended behavior. You're supposed to use the steps or degrees boxes for larger edos.

I understand that there is a limitation to the number of tones the app can handle. I suppose my concern is rather that there is no feedback in the user interface, that is, you can type any number in the box, and only when you create the scale it will be cropped to 1024, which some users might not even notice immediately.
