As a Software Engineer, I'd like to share an idea I have. YouTube has the option to divide a video into pieces, labeling them for their contents. A lot of content in YouTube is a compilation or a mix of some sort, making the comment sections rather divided and unclear.
Commenters can add time-stamps, but these are counter-intuitive and the markdown is too manual. How about an (optional) option that can identify which part of the video the user is commenting on? The option could even be tailored to suggest the current section the user is watching.
I came up with this after watching a video and checking the comments, which were very unclear regarding which part of the video they were referring
to.
