Why create the virtual motion simulator?

  • Motion is caused by internal and external forces
    • internal forces are the muscle forces generated by human body
    • external forces are the forces applied on human body, for instance, ground reaction forces, Gravity, contact forces.
  • external forces contribute to the motion based on skeleton system.
  • Wearable exoskeleton can generate the same effect of external force (in joints' level), just as Haptx was conducted.
  • Assistance → Resistance

Why not only use foot supporter?

  • External force in most motions are applied under feet, but not all.
  • Exoskeleton based simulator can simulate external force on any parts of body
  • For instance, seated leg extension...
