v14.7.0 for KSP 1.10

Config Changes

  • Updated Space Shuttle System Configs (#2522)
  • Update SOCK Aero to match latest changes to SSS
  • Configure NFExploration dishes (RA-only) (#2524)
  • Merge & Deprecate XLR43 (#2513). The XLR43, aka NAA75, was North American Aviation (Rocketdyne)'s development of the earlier XLR41, itself an improved US copy of the A-4 engine. Due to confusion on our part, its configs were originally split between an XLR43 part, the NAA75-110 part (aka Redstone/Jupiter-C/Juno I engine), and the Atlas booster engine part (LR43/LR89). This has been rectified where the two NAA75s (XLR43-NA-1 aka NAA75-65, and NAA75-110) share the same model, and the spaghetti-tube improved version (XLR43-NA-3, then LR43, then LR89) share the LR89 model. If you are using any of these engines on a current craft, you should switch to the non-deprecated versions of these parts.

  • Remove the stock fuel cells on RaiderNick's Soyuz 7K-LOK if ROKerbalism is installed.
  • Add Waterfall configs to RaiderNick's Proton and Vanguard launchers.

Bugfixes

  • Fix tech transfer for XLR11 and XLR25.
  • Fix the IVA offset on the X-1 cockpit and the X-15 cockpit.
  • Fix solids incorrectly failing to ignite due to dynamic pressure.
  • Fix KDU414 rated burn time not being displayed.
  • Fix RN zenit rd120 ignitions.

v14.5 for KSP 1.10

NOTE This update may change the performance of existing craft in flight.. In particular, if you have craft using the kerolox configs of the LR87/LR91, the Agena D (XLR81-BA-11, -13, and 8096-39) configs of the XLR81 engine, the NAA75-110 engine, the XLR11 (X-1) engine, or the XLR99 (X-15) engine, you may wish to finish these crafts' missions first. If you are building craft using these engines, you will have to KCT-edit the vessels.

Engine Rework

  • A large number of engine config changes based on information from G. P. Sutton's book History of Liquid Propellant Rocket Engines thanks to @EisbarGFX
  • The LR87/LR91 have had their mixture ratio running kerosene and liquid oxygen (the -AJ-3 config, or the speculative kerosene upgrade) altered based on better information.
  • The XLR81-BA-11 and XLR81-BA-13 and Model 8096-39 Agena engine models have had their mixture ratios altered based on better information.
  • The A-6 and A-7 configs of the NAA75-110 have been reworked based on better information, and a new config added. It turns out the A-6 was the version converted to run Hydyne; this is noted as the A-6H. The A-7 was used for Mercury, and is a slightly uprated A-6. The mixture ratios for all three have been corrected and their reliabilities and tech transfer with the XLR43-NA-1 (which was also known as the NAA75-65, a basically identical engine with a shorter burn time) have been tweaked.
  • The XLR99 engine's performance figures were wildly optimistic. They have been corrected based on data from Sutton's book and from the X-15 program records.
  • The XLR11 series engines have been tweaked for accuracy. The mixture ratios of various versions have been corrected, as have their TF data. In addition a new config has been added, the XLR35 (a slightly modified XLR11 used on the RTV-A-2 Hiroc). Unlike the regular XLR11 it has gimbal.
  • More minor changes to a host of engines across the world to bring them in line with Sutton's data.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix an issue with patching RealChute-using parts from Raidernick's mods when Deadly Reentry is installed.

Config Changes

  • Fix X-405H configs so they can use RF mixture variance. Note actual delivered performance has not changed although the Isp shown in the game is different.
  • Tweak reliability and tech transfer on the Juno 6K and 45K engines so they gain some transfer from AJ10s and their reliability ceiling fits better with their type and era.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix Asteroids, Comets, and Flags being marked as non-RO parts.
  • Fix missing rated burn time on the E-1_KS config.
  • Fix interaction between the vessel rotation module and unloaded vessels.

v14.4.0.0 for KSP 1.10

New features:

  • Support the RO/RP-1 Express Install
  • Lightweight rotation-when-timewarping support added to Realism Overhaul itself, based on code from @gotmachine 's MandatoryRCS. Don't worry, this is disabled if you have Principia or Persistent Rotation installed (though it does play nicer with some RO features than PRU does).
  • De-pulsed Kerolox plumes with Waterfall--no more obvious pulsing thanks to a texture from Katniss!
  • With Deadly Reentry 7.x the current version again, apply patching to work around DRE's operational-temperature calculations and to avoid wrong temperatures on parachute parts.

Config Updates

  • Support new Vanguard parts from RaiderNick
  • Support the Parom tug parts from RaiderNick
  • Tweak the thresholds on crew deaths when DRE is installed. Crew are a bit less likely to die from 10-15G reentries.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix the misnaming of the Procedural Fairing side after the release of PF 6.1.
  • Fix Ranger Retro engine being listed as non-RO.
  • Fix presence of Filter Extensions inverting the function of the NoNonRO directory.

New features:

  • Early jet engines now have more appropriate (slower) throttling behavior.
  • The Conic Cockpit now makes reference to it actually being the X-1 cockpit.

  • Fixed missing pressurant on various RN and other parts.
  • Fixed Viking/Vikas using up water using the wrong flow mode (i.e. from across the vessel).
  • Fixed X-1 cockpit's center of mass, increased its thermal limits.
  • Fixed wrong plume color on HTP RCS.

New features:

  • Kerbal EVA drag tweaks. They now have a reasonable amount of drag on EVA, and deploying their parachutes properly increases drag.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix too high skin->internal conduction on Conic Cockpit.
  • Waterfall: fix excessively stretched glow on generic thrusters
  • Watefall: support for resizing glow of plume variants.
