Map Viewer
Like Map Editor, Map Viewer is divided into sidebar and map view. The top of the sidebar has the same navigation controls, except the "Preview Layer" is replaced with "Preview Mapped". When that option is enabled, the map will draw in the mapped style, i.e. discovered, but not visited by the player.
In Map Viewer you can't edit the map, instead it provides a few tools that allow you to navigate your world more easily.
The main feature of Map Viewer is that it's integrated with your map scenes. If you assigned scenes to your rooms, you can open tha assigned scene when clicking the room.
This works both ways. When you open a scene in the editor, it will be highlighted in the viewer. Hovering over a room will display the assigned scene name. If there is no scene assigned, the coordinate label changes color.
This feature allows you to locate and display all registered collectibles that you placed in your scenes. The first step is setting up your collectibles, which is done in the "Collectible Settings" tab.
Press +
button to add a collectible, then specify its name and icon. Name must match the name prefix of the node in collectible's scene (i.e. nodes named Collectible1 and Collectible2 will be matched as "Collectible"). The icon is just a representation of the collectible, for the purposes of finding.
Once your collectibles are set up, go to the "Collectible Finder" tab and press the "Scan Maps" button. MetSys will perform a scan of all scenes in your maps directory. Once complete, you will see a list of all found collectibles and their coordinates. Hovering a coordinate on the list will highlight it on the map (even if it's on another layer). You can also enable "Display on Map" to show all the collectibles as icons on the map.
