- Prompts before irreversible map changes
- The tile is used to go back to the previous map for maps 2 and 3 is clearly indicated
- The lumberjack tells you where the first key is
- Smarter text breaks fixed so text won't get cut off
As with the previous release, the following builds are available:
- Standard RPG Maker 32-bit Windows
- Linux x64 utilizing mkxp-z
- Launch script is no longer necessary
- Windows x64 utilizing mkxp-z
- x64 and ARM macOS utilizing mkxp-z (still untested)
What's next?
- A new route of sorts where I practice more advanced event scripting, animations, and whatever else I can think of
v0.1a - RPG Maker Independant Release
This release will allow you on:
- 32-bit Windows with the original files
and - Windows (64-bit)
- macOS (64-bit and ARM) (Currently untested)
- Linux (64-bit)
to run the game without installing the RTP package for the assets.
Using RPG Maker itself, and mkxp-z (using automatic build #272 which was completed 1/23/2024) for other platforms, this can now run on those platforms on it's own if you don't have RPG Maker XP or the assets downloaded.
v0.1 - Completed Test Game
I'm pretty sure you need the RPG Maker RTP thing, so that's included here. Other than that, this is the same as the repo files, plus the extra empty directories. If you already have RPG Maker XP and it's specific RTP standard downloaded, you do not need to download this release.
Does this work in EasyRPG or other open source implementation?
EasyRPG only supports RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 projects. I have not tested this with mkxp-z.
As RPG Maker itself is Windows only, this is only officially works on Windows. I made this on Linux tho lol
