By using the Instant Website service, you agree to the terms of use, which means being considerate of the author of the service and of other users who view creations you make. If you do not like the terms, do not use the service.

Creating and using content

Use of this service is for personal, non-commercial use.

You may choose to create a likeness to a real person or business or a create a made-up one. Please be respectful (avoid offensive language) and adhere to copyright limitations when using images.

Do not try to impersonate a real person or business to share with and mislead someone.

You may create a page around yourself or your business which you can freely modify and share and even take screenshots of.

This project is open-sourced under MIT - if you use some or all of this repo or the generated content in your projects, you are required to give a visible credit and link back to the original repo and not pass it off as your own. e.g. Created using MichaelCurrin/instant-website.

Abuse

The point of this website is for a user on a browser to customize a website using a form or the URL.

Please do not create anything rude or offensive with it.

Note that the site does not actually store any creations (such as in a database or repo). All creations are created on the browser side (controlled by end-users) and can be recreated based on a URL.

This service serves compiled HTML and JavaScript resources. Any user-generated content such as typed text or image references exist solely on the browser and are not persisted. No commits are made to the repo based on end-user content and there is no database. Therefore since nothing is store, if any one does create any offensive or inappropriate content and shares the URL with others, there is no way to "remove" that content from the site. And since there is no sign-in or cookies, users cannot be blocked (in any case, blocking someone from signing in would not prevent a custom URL that is already made from loading).

Once the initial page is loaded, customization can even happen without an internet connection.

As a planned feature, precautions will be taken to prevent offensive words from appearing in the website output, but not all cases can be covered.
