Drolfwing

Summary

[[Drolfwing]] is a German steno theory related to the [[Lapwing]] theory, with the following goals in mind:

• stick closely to the [[Lapwing]] keyboard layout
• derive (briefing) techniques from [[DEK]] (German pen shorthand)
• find a good balance between low number of exceptions and total amount of rules to follow My goal with this theory is to have a nice entry point for people coming from [[DEK]], while also leaving the possibility to later delve into the English Lapwing system easier, due to the two having the same (or at least a very similar) layout. Ideally I would like to have the system well documented from the beginning to make it easier to understand, pickup and contribute to it c:

Probably wanna keep this the same for now until running into problems might want to adapt -D and -Z tho maybe combinations of -DZ positions as common suffixes?

Vowels

I wanna stick to the Lapwing sounds here if there arent any big disadvantages to it. One thing to consider are long vowels? (malt, mahlt, Wissen, Wiesen, sollen, Sohlen) and Umlauts i.e:
