For institutions, time accrues. No matter how small we try to stay fiscally and bureaucratically — time grows us up. Simply by having existed for consecutive minutes, months, and years we’re expected to be ever more legitimate as an institution — accounting software, a storage unit, taxes, insurance, payroll, audits, responding to emails — as if we didn’t start off running from the terrible outcomes of bloated institutions. I left our meeting feeling somewhat — er, COMPLETELY – disillusioned. But I remain hopeful. There has to be a better way. We can do this.
