Can I sell/use 3D models created with Meshroom? Can media created with Meshroom be used for advertising, publications, training purposes, etc.?

Yes. The intellectual property of media created with Meshroom belongs to you.

Can I support Meshroom financially?

If you really like Meshroom or even use it commercially, consider becoming a sponsor. Sponsorship funds will be used to maintain AliceVision Meshroom. What data will you keep and how is it protected?

AliceVision Meshroom (software) does not collect or share (personal) data that might be associated with the media used or created by Meshroom. How your data is shared is up to you.

Do we need to buy a license to use AliceVision Meshroom?

No, AliceVision Meshroom is licensed under an open source license that allows free personal and commercial use. Please read the following section about the license carefully.

How is AliceVision Meshroom licensed? Are there any specific license agreements or restrictions for corporate use?

Meshroom is released under Mozilla Public License Version 2.0. The licence agreement can be found here: https://github.com/alicevision/meshroom/blob/develop/LICENSE-MPL2.md

There are no additional restrictions for corporate use.

Can we store the installer or any files of this tool on our file servers or network, and share them with multiple users?

Do I need to give credits? / Logo / How to cite

  • For media created in Meshroom:

No, you do not need to give credit to Meshroom for media created with the software.

If you like the software you are free to credit it in you work.

  • If you are enthusiastic about Meshroom and want to give credit (in movie credits for example) you may do so. You may use the Meshroom logo (HQ). If you use the AliceVision (and not the Meshroom GUI), you may use the AV logo. You may not use the logos for any other purpose than to give credit or promote the software.
