Python 3.8 already reached its end of life in October last year (https://devguide.python.org/versions/) and is no longer compatible with the new ruff linter. We should drop the support for Python 3.8. |

The ruff formatter from the CI machine does not agree with my local workspace on rule I001, although the version is the same. Ignoring it for now as a temporary solution.
