What is JOCR?

With JOCR I created a little tool to bring OCR functionality to some of the projects I am working on. Give JOCR a document and you will get the text in a machine readable format. To achieve this I combined several open-source projects (Tesseract and PDFBOX for example) and therefore want this program to be open too.
