This PR adds a
number
mode (and thus a defaultstring
) forNUMERIC
/DECIMAL
column types of all dialects, similarly to theBIGINT
'snumber
andbigint
modes. This allows to use regular JS numbers if we know the column does not use values with more than ~15 significant digits.I've only added tests for
pg
and itspostgres-js
driver for now. If this PR gains traction and a merge is considered, I will take care of other dialects and drivers tests.
