# transform.engine v1.3.0 Release Notes

- **transform**.engine **Version**: `1.3.0`
- **Windows transform**.client **Version:** `1.3.0`
- **macOS transform**.client **Version**: `1.3.0`

## Summary

We’re very excited to release **transform**.engine v1.3, featuring:

* **🔥 transform**.suite: Get the world’s best plugins for live in a single click.
* **👏 CLAP**: Use plugins which support this modern open audio plugin standard.

…as well as a number of other exciting treats and bugfixes.

We encourage all users to update to this fully backwards-compatible release as soon as possible.

## New In This Release

- TF-2311: **transform**.suite \- install and licence the **transform**.suite plugin collection with a single click from **transform**.client.
- TF-1721: CLAP plugin support \- plugins using the CLAP standard can now be used, as well as VST3 plugins.
- TF-2351: Multiple clients can now view the same plugin at once
- TF-888: Scroll around plugin UIs when they exceed the maximum supported size \- previously, it could be hard to resize plugins if you set them to be bigger than the maximum supported size, because often the plugin resize UI would be clipped off. Now you can scroll around the plugin UI to avoid this.
- TF-1852: Dim the OLED Display when not in use \- some devices were exhibiting burn-in on their OLED display: dimming the display will reduce the rate of burn-in.
- TF-2643: Update PACE License Support and iLok License Manager to 5.10.0
- TF-2145: Improve system boot speed
- TF-2436: Store more Dante logs

## Bugs Fixed In This Release

- TF-1891, TF-2265, TF-2282, TF-2302: DSP load meter periodically jumps to 100%
- TF-1769: Plugin view immediately resizes making it impossible to use some plugin menus
- TF-2086: Double-clicks not received by plugins
- TF-2145: Intermittently, certain engines fail to boot, get stuck in BIOS
- TF-1568, TF-2455: Very occasionally, firmware loses boot configuration
- TF-2291: Certain USB3.0 disks can cause the engine to fail to boot successfully
- TF-2285: Very rarely, transform.engine could stop responding to new instructions
- TF-1512: Engine licence checks can very occasionally fail spuriously
- TF-2439: Plugin state was not saved if plugin changed internally but no parameters changed
- TF-2456: Semi-transparent plugin windows too transparent (invisible)
- TF-2543: PACE operations (scanning an unlicensed plugin, opening iLok Licence Manager) can hang due to lack of internet
- TF-2510: For certain Slate plugins, when multiple of the same plugin loaded in a chain, UI inputs could be routed incorrectly
- TF-2512: Some click-and-drag plugin UI does not work
- TF-2414: Some click-and-drag plugin UI was janky in some JUCE plugins
- TF-2379: Some click-and-drag plugin UI may misbehave when the mouse exits plugin view
- TF-2520: Some plugin scroll-wheel inputs do not work
- TF-2590: SSL Sourcerer behaves incorrectly in mono chains
- TF-1360: Arouser big knobs do not work
- TF-1454: Some Liquidsonics plugins’ knobs do not work
- TF-2286: Some Devious Machines plugins’ knobs do not work
- TF-2461: Plugin inter-window messaging does not work: some plugin UI may misbehave
- TF-2468, TF-2514: Plugin view could freeze if trying to view very very tiny windows
- TF-2615: Windows Firewall warnings could spuriously be shown during setup
- TF-1268, TF-2535: desktop: Plugin view can occasionally fail or take a long time to show video
- TF-2576: desktop: When switching plugins, plugin view can occasionally take a very long time to show video
- TF-2250: After loading lots of showfiles, loading more showfiles could fail
- TF-2494: desktop: accessibility: Fix missing focus indication on record cue button
- TF-2396: desktop: Ensure arrow key navigation works properly in tables
- TF-2176: desktop: Improve UI performance when showing many chains
- TF-2238: Improve UI performance when many changes are made at once, e.g. recalling a cue
- TF-2198: Plugin view sessions are not always closed properly, may keep using resources
- TF-2302: A spooky command prompt appears when using the “test run” feature
- TF-2226: desktop: User settings may appear stale after loading a showfile

## Compatibility Notes

Showfiles are fully backwards- and forwards-compatible with transform.engine v1.1 and v1.2.

transform.engine v1.3 is fully backwards compatible with transform.client v1.0-v1.2, and vice-versa; you can connect to an engine running v1.2 from a client running v1.3, and to an engine running v1.3 from a client running v1.2.

Downgrading to versions prior to v1.3 is currently not possible once v1.3 has been installed.

## Known Issues

Users should be aware of the following known issues in this release, which we hope to address in a future update:

- TF-2148: When **transform**.engine is the PTP clock leader on boot, changing the sample rate from 96 kHz to 48 kHz in Dante Controller can result in the Dante audio transport stalling. Restarting the **transform**.engine after changing sample rate resolves the issue.
- TF-2698: When bx\_limiter or AMEK EQ 200 are used in a chain, recalling cues can cause a momentary increase in DSP load.

A small number of plugins may experience compatibility issues running on **transform**.engine. For details, see our plugin compatibility database at [https://plugins.fourieraudio.com](https://plugins.fourieraudio.com) .
